Our Trust is inviting members of the public, patients, colleagues and community partners to find out more about their local NHS at the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting this Wednesday,16 September.
The free event will take place at Chesterfield Royal Hospital’s Education Centre, with a marketplace from 5pm to 7pm, followed by the formal Annual Members’ Meeting from 7pm to 8pm.
Royal Primary Care will be present among more than 20 stalls which will showcase services, departments, community partners, volunteering opportunities and charity initiatives from across the Trust. Visitors will be able to meet colleagues, ask questions and learn more about the work taking place across hospital, community and primary care services.
The formal meeting will provide an opportunity to reflect on the Trust’s achievements, innovations and improvements over the past year, as well as hear about the priorities and challenges ahead.
It will include presentations and updates from Trust leaders, patient and colleague stories, highlights from the Trust’s Annual Report and Accounts and Quality Account, and a question-and-answer session.
Those unable to attend in person will also be able to watch the meeting live via the Trust’s Facebook page from 7pm.
Jackie Smith, Trust Chair, said: “Our Annual Members’ Meeting is an important opportunity for us to come together with our members, patients, colleagues and local communities to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the future.
“We are incredibly proud of the care our teams provide and the progress we continue to make across our hospital, community and primary care services. The meeting offers a chance to celebrate those achievements, share our plans and hear directly from the people we care for.
“I would encourage anyone with an interest in their local NHS to join us, visit the marketplace and learn more about the fantastic work taking place across our Trust.”
Carol Warren, Lead Governor, added: “As governors, we play a vital role in representing the views of our members and communities, and the Annual Members’ Meeting is one of the most important opportunities for people to engage with their local NHS.
“The marketplace provides an excellent chance to meet colleagues, find out more about the services available and speak directly to people delivering care and support every day. We welcome questions, feedback and ideas from members and the public, and I would encourage people to come along and get involved.”
As a Foundation Trust, Chesterfield Royal Hospital is accountable to its members and local communities. The Annual Members’ Meeting forms an important part of that commitment, providing an opportunity to hear about the Trust’s performance, quality of care and future priorities, and to ask questions directly of Trust leaders.
